A&E Language School offers Estonian language courses for secondary school (gymnasium in Estonia) pupils and adults.
We offer Estonian lessons in small groups (up to 5 people), in pairs or on a one-on-one basis.
During the lessons our teachers use a wide range of audio and video materials, role-play and other methods which make classes fun and practical at the same time.
Prices start at 5.00 euros per academic hour (45 min.). Tuition is paid monthly.
After completing a full-length course and passing an Estonian level exam, you are entitled to be reimbursed up to 320.00 euros per level. A&E Language School teachers’ professional goal is to provide our students with enough knowledge and skills of Estonian to function in every day life, at work or school as well as to help the students successfully pass the state Estonian language exam or an examination at the A2-C1 levels necessary for work.
This course will suit those who have gathered enough courage to start learning the language and speaking Estonian or take the A2-level exam.
Lessons are held using a variety of methods. Our school will not only introduce grammar and vocabulary to you but will also teach you to use idioms and colloquial expressions used in everyday life. Our experience shows that 1,5-hour lessons are too long for complete beginners as the volume of new information is too great and a student cannot concentrate long enough to process the information effectively. On the other hand, 45-minute-long lessons do not allow one to practice the newly acquired skills. This is why at this level we hold 60-minute lessons 2 or 3 times a week.
This course is aimed at preparation for the B1-level exam as well as the 9th grade school examination.
One part of the course is fully dedicated to exam preparation and drilling: exam task completion techniques, dialogue practice and asking questions.
Beside that, the course helps one to start using the language in everyday situations and to communicate with native speakers.
This course is aimed at preparation for the B2-level exam as well as the 12th grade state exam.
The course focuses on enlarging vocabulary, improving communication skills and other language competences. We also pay attention to improving writing and reading skills. Our experienced teachers help you to work on the techniques necessary to pass the language exam successfully.
After the successful completion of our B2-level course, you can understand the main ideas of complex text on both concrete and abstract topics, including technical discussions in your field of specialization. You can interact with a degree of fluency and spontaneity that makes regular interaction with native speakers quite possible without strain. You can produce clear, detailed text on a wide range of subjects and explain your viewpoint on a topical issue giving the advantages and disadvantages of various options.
In our C1 course we will teach you to understand a wide range of demanding, longer clauses, and to recognize implicit meaning. You will be able to express ideas fluently and spontaneously without much obvious searching for expressions. During the course, we practice using the language flexibly and effectively for social, academic and professional purposes. Thanks to our lessons you will be able to produce a clear, well-structured, detailed text on complex subjects, showing controlled use of organizational patterns, connectors and cohesive devices.

Yes. If you prefer to take individual lessons or study together with a friend/partner/neighbor, we can arrange for such lessons. A tailored course will be developed along with an individual lesson plan.
Unfortunately, yes. A group lesson costs less but if it has been held, it means that the teacher prepared for it and ran it, having spent his/her time. We are already willing to provide you with the materials of the missed lesson and the homework as well as answer possible questions. We can oblige and refrain from charging you for no more than 2 missed lesson during a course.
No, it does not. Usually, we order the books for the whole group, so the book cost is added to the first invoice.
A&E Language School issues a certificate only if a full level course has been completed. Otherwise, we will issue a statement with the course topics and the number of hours attended.
A&E Language school offers language studies in usual groups of no more than 8 people and small groups of no more than 5 people. You can also study in a pair with another student or take individual lessons.
You pay the invoice that we issue after the contract has been signed. The invoice has all the necessary payment details: bank account numbers in Swedbank and SEB, reference number, period of study and the language for which you are paying. NB! It is necessary to put the reference number; otherwise, the payment does not go through.
In order to register for a course, you can fill in a form on our website, call us, or write to us by e-mail or on Facebook.
Usually not. If the course length is more than one month, you pay per month, based on the number of academic hours according to the contract. NB! We have an advance payment system. The period of advance payment is 4 weeks.
The length depends on the level and your current knowledge. According to the CEFR and the syllabi, approved by the Ministry for Education of Estonia, the lengths of courses are as follows:
Etonian level examinations can be taken in Tallinn, Narva, Johvi and Tartu. Exams are held at the same time on the same days in all the cities. Exam dates are posted on the exam center webpage. https://www.innove.ee/en/examinations-and-tests/
Registration for the examinations ends on the 1st day of the month preceding the month of the exam. All the exams are free of charge.
The choice depends on your goals and current knowledge.
If you have studied the language before, know question words, numbers, can speak a little about yourself and your family, and – most importantly, personal pronouns and 10-20 verbs, we can certainly offer you an A2-level course. If you do not know all the above-mentioned, you have start from zero.
